My E-book launch

I am proud to announce the release of my first ever e-book. I have been working on it for a while (and it was a lot more work than I thought it would be) and it is a long time in the making.

Indeed, this first attempt is a collection of pictures from my 2004 round-the-world trip. Below is the link to access the current PDF version.

I hope you enjoy it, and please make sure to let me know what you think.

  1. Hi Ella – I like it! It’s so nice to see those big panoramas and I like the quality of scanned film, it has its own feel. What a great trip – travel is often the solution to not knowing what to do next. I would guess this trip had a lot to do with your future choices and that you came home with ideas about what to do next.Or at the very least, “something that allows me to live in remote places”.
We sent our 15 year old daughter to Argentina when she was spinning her wheels aimlessly and angrily at home – she stayed with our friends there for several months and was transformed by the experience.

    1. Thanks! I need to find a better showcase for them. You know I took them in 2004 and had no idea what I was doing. I totally forgot I had taken panoramas until this summer when I was looking through the photos and I put them together for the first time then, 8 years after they were taken… and was quite surprised by the results!

      1. Did you find you had to rescan the negatives, or did the ones from right after your trip work ok? I find that many of the scans I got done around that time were too low in resolution to be very useful and have had to redo them if I want to use the image.

  2. I had a package deal when they got developed so I got CDs with the pictures produced at the time. The original resolution is not bad, individually at around 1536×1024 (957kb) per picture and of course the panoramas are bigger. So you could do an A4 coffee table book for example but not big posters.
