Clint is good friend of mine… he is from Capuchin where he lives with his grandmother, Olive. We get along well and is a smart boy who is in need of a lot of affection.
He is here in his ‘dress as you like school day’ clothes. Homosexuality is a big no-no in the Caribbean countries and men have to live repressed. Gay Peace Corps volunteers find it especially hard to hide that side of them for the duration of their service but there is a such a stigma attached to it that they have no choice.
There are a lot of negative consequences to the secrecy surrounding these relationships for these men who try to live a life conforming to the social expectations of the Caribbean.
I think men in the Caribbean would greatly benefit from getting in touch with their feminine side every once in a while so hats off to Clint!
