Traditional Basket Weaving

I went to the Carib Village on Saturday with Beth, another Peace Corps, and her family. At the exit they have shops selling traditional arts and crafts. These include decorated calabash, various items made of coconut shell and jewelery made with local seeds. But the most impressive is the vast collection of unique weaved items.

The store owners were sitting on the porch demonstrating how the weaving works and they kindly let me take pictures. The finished products are so beautiful and elegant and they are all unique pieces.
